Sobre Mastigias scintillae sp. nov. (Scyphomedusae, Rhizostomeae) das costas do Brasil

Abstract: Neste trabalho é descrita uma nova espécie de Rhizostomeae, encontrada pela primeira vez em maio de 1955, ao longo da costa do Estado de São Paulo. A presente espécie pertence ao gênero Mastigias. Mastigias scintillae foi o nome dado a esta nova espécie. Mastigias scintillae tem umbrela convexa, com aproximadamente 60 cm de diâmetro.
