Abstract:Numerical simulations based on Monte Carlo dynamics are used to investigate the resistivity behavior of granular superconductors containing a random distribution of π junctions, as in superconducting materials with d-wave symmetry. The presence of π junctions leads to quenched in circulating currents (chiralities) and to chiral glass behavior at low temperatures, even without an external magnetic field. An XY spin glass model in the phase representation is used to determine the current-voltage characteristics … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
