“…Nestes solos, os valores de pH ficaram abaixo de 5,4 (Quadro 1). Estes resultados estão de acordo com os observados por Florentino et al (2012), em que A. doebereinerae somente se desenvolve quando cultivada em meio de cultura contendo valores de pH acima de 6,0.…”

“…After several days, the plates were observed with clear zones around colonies of what turned out to be the bacterial isolate of interest. After proving to be a Gram Negative (GN) species, the Biolog GN2 kit (Biolog, Hayward, CA, USA) was used for initial identification of the isolated bacterium based on substrate utilization patterns 23 . B. subtilis ATCC 49760 was used as a gram positive control.…”

“…In South America, Cupriavidus was uncommon in French Guiana and Uruguay (3-10 % of nodule isolates; [ 9 , 11 ]), and was not detected at all in extensive surveys of Mimosa in central Brazil [ 5 , 6 ]. However, it has been isolated from two cultivated legumes in Minas Gerais, Brazil [ 18 ]. This suggests that further surveys in South America may discover additional wild legume hosts that utilize Cupriavidus symbionts.…”
