The foliar application and seed Ca + B, Mo + P and Stimulate ® in peanut, despite being a practice used long ago, few studies have conclusive results, and then this research was to evaluate the physical and physiological quality peanut seeds from the process of application of fertilizers and bio-stimulant. The design was completely randomized, with seed from peanut plants subjected to the use of three products (Ca + B; Mo + P and Stimulate ® ), two types of applications (via leaf and seeds), growing with PK and absolute control, following a factorial arrangement of [(3 × 2) + 2]. For the dimensions (length and width) of seeds, as well as the thousand seed weight and number of seeds per pod, data were submitted to descriptive statistics, calculating the mean, standard deviation, variance and coefficient of variation of the data obtained. The application of fertilizers, bio-stimulants and groundnut seeds increases germination of seeds produced, causes more seedlings that are vigorous and reduces the percentage of abnormal seedlings.

RESUMOCom o objetivo de avaliar o efeito da omissão de macronutrientes no crescimento e no estado nutricional do amendoim (Arachis hypogaea L.), bem como descrever sintomas visuais de deficiência nutricional, foi desenvolvido um experimento em solução nutritiva na FCAV/UNESP. O delineamento experimental foi o inteiramente casualizado, com sete tratamentos, que corresponderam à solução completa e à omissão individual de N, P, K, Ca, Mg e S, com três repetições. As plantas de amendoim cv. Runner IAC 886 foram cultivadas em solução nutritiva de Hoagland & Arnon em vasos contendo 5 dm³. Foram avaliados a altura das plantas, o diâmetro do caule, o número de folhas, o índice SPAD, a massa seca da parte aérea, das raízes e planta inteira, os teores e o acúmulo dos macronutrientes na parte aérea e raízes e a descrição das desordens nutricionais. A omissão de K, Ca, N, P e Mg foram as que mais limitaram o crescimento vegetativo do amendoim, reduzindo consideravelmente a altura, o diâmetro do caule, o número de folhas, assim como a produção da massa seca do amendoim. Foram observados sintomas de deficiência nutricional de cada elemento. Os teores de nutrientes observados nas plantas de amendoim do tratamento completo e da omissão, na parte aérea, foram, respectivamente: N = 19,0 -12,2; P = 4,7 -1,1; K = 27,9 -4,7; Ca = 10,4 -1,6; Mg = 6,2 -0,96; S = 1,2 -0,7 g kg -1 . ABSTRACTThe experiment was carried out under greenhouse conditions to evaluate the effects of macronutrient omission, nutritional status, and development on peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.), as well to describe nutritional deficiency symptoms. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with three replications and seven treatments, corresponding to a complete nutritive solution and individual omission of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, and S. The peanut plants cultivar Runner IAC 886 were grown in a Hoagland & Arnon nutrient solution in 5dm 3 pots. Plant height, stem diameter, leaves number, SPAD index, dry mass of aerial part, root, and hole plant, as well the nutritional disorder description were evaluated. The omission of K, Ca, N, P and Mg showed the higher growth limiter to the peanut growth, reducing considerably the plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves and also reducing the peanut dry mass production. Nutritional deficiency symptoms of each nutrient were observed. Macronutrient levels observed in peanut plants were, respectively to the control and to the treatment with nutrient omission were: N = 19.0 -12.2, P = 4.07 -1.1, K = 27.9 -4.7, Ca = 10.4 -1.6, Mg = 6.2 -0.96, S = 1.2 -0.7 g kg -1 .

Weed Community in a Raw Sugarcane Renovation Area Submitted to Different Soil Managements

-The objective of this study was to evaluate the weed community in a raw sugarcane renovation area with three soil managements and peanut sowing in succession. The experiment was conducted during the 2007/08 season on a raw sugarcane area harvested without prior burning in the last five cuts. A randomized block design with treatments arranged in a split plot and arranged in four replications was used. The main treatments consisted of three cropping systems: conventional tillage, minimum tillage and direct planting, and subplots consisted in the absence (resting) or presence of crop rotation with peanuts. After 135 days from planting peanuts and 180 days of sugarcane harvest, the number of weeds m -2 was counted and the shoot dry biomass of the weeds collected was determined. The data were interpreted by analysis of variance and the means were compared by Tukey's test at 5% probability so that phytosociological indices a, b, c e d were calculated. The use of soil conservation tillage and peanut in rotation with sugarcane in the renovation areas is effective in controlling weeds and suppression of weed species difficult to control like Cyperus rotundus, Commelina bengalensis, Urochloa plantaginea, and Digitaria nuda.
