Abstract:RESUMO Iohexol, um novo meio de contraste hidrossolúvel não iônico, foi utilizado na realização de mielografias em seis cães, cinco dos quais normais. O sexto animal, atropelado por uma motocicleta, apresentava paralisia espástica dos membros torácicos e paralisia flácida dos membros pélvicos. Na mielografia desse cão, o meio de contraste não progrediu além de T11 e o exame macroscópico confirmou a fratura do corpo vertebral de T11.
