ResumoObjetivo: Analisar o perfil dos portadores de doença renal crônica (DRC) no setor de hemodiálise.Método:Estudo documental e transversal de natureza quantitativa, realizado a partir da análise de 154 prontuários. Resultados:Observou-se que 63,22% dos pacientes são maiores de 50 anos, desses, 35,48% correspondem ao sexo masculino. Quanto à data de admissão, 80% tem admissão inferior a um ano.Com relaçãoàs variáveis socioeconômicas e demográficas, 26,45% tem renda mensal de até um salário mínimo e 71,42% são procedentes de Salvador. No que diz respeito à doença base, a nefroesclerose hipertensiva teve maior representatividade, correspondendo a 36,13%.Quanto a patologias associadas, a hipertensãofoi a mais relevante, representando 25,97%. Com relação ao tipo de acesso, o Cateter de Sorensen teve maior incidência nos pacientes recém-admitidos. Conclusão: A pesquisa permitiu o maior conhecimento do perfil dos portadores de DRC no âmbito estadual, evidenciando a necessidade de maior atenção voltada para a prevenção e controle da hipertensão e Diabetes para minimizar a progressão, bem como, o surgimento de novos casos da DRC.Palavras-chave: Doença Renal Crônica; Perfil Epidemiológico; Hemodiálise.
PROFILE OF CHRONIC KIDNEY PATIENTS AT A PUBLIC HOSPITAL OF BAHIA AbstractObjective: To analyze the profile of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on hemodialysis unit. Method: A documental and quantitative cross, made from the analysis of 154 records. Results: It was observed that 63.22% of patients are older than 50 years, these, 35.48% are male. As at the date of admission, 80% have less than one year admission. With respect to socioeconomic and demographic variables, 26.45% have a monthly income of up to minimum wage and 71.42% are coming from Salvador. With respect to the base disease, hypertensive nephrosclerosis had higher representation, corresponding to 36.13%. As for the associated diseases, hypertension was the most important, accounting for 25.97%. Regarding the type of access, the catheter Sorensen had a higher incidence in patients newly admitted. Conclusion: The research allowed the greatest knowledge of the profile of CKD within the state, highlighting the need for greater attention on the prevention and control of hypertension and diabetes to minimize the progression as well as the appearance of new cases of CKD.
