Women who were burned by their husbands or partners

Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To analyze the affect of domestic violence among women who were burned by their husbands or partners. METHODS: A quantitative descriptive and exploratory study was used. The sample consisted of 35 young black women who had elementary or high school education. RESULTS: Domestic violence causes women to become sick, which leads to major psychological problems, including depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, and suicidal ideation.
