Abstract: RESUMO: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo analítico, que teve como objetivo a identificação e validação clínica das características definidoras do diagnóstico de enfermagem amamentação ineficaz, segundo a classificação da Associação Norte-Americana de Diagnósticos de Enfermagem. “…This article presents results related to the evaluation of the binomial performed within the first 48 hours after delivery and, as such, should have its contribution limited to this time interval. It is also difficult to state the real explanatory reasons for the differences in the prevalence of the diagnosis of ineffective breastfeeding of 58.9% found in the study compared to 64% and 80.2% found in other studies (4)(5) .
