Influência da variação sazonal nos teores de flavonóides e atividade antioxidante das folhas de Campomanesia adamantium (Cambess.) O. Berg, Myrtaceae

Abstract: RESUMO:Campomanesia adamantium (Cambess.) Show more

“…All compounds isolated from the BuOH phase (1-5) were subjected to evaluation of antiradical potential by spraying a solution of 2.0 mg/mL of DPPH in methanol in a TLC plate (SiO 2 ). After 5 minutes, were observed strong yellow spots on violet background, suggesting that compounds 1-5 are responsible for antiradical potential observed in the crude extract/phases, as previously reported (Coutinho et al, 2010;Ceruks et al, 2007;Rosa et al, 2010).…”

“…The Brazilian Cerrado is a source of reserve of biological resources that presents an economic potential and a large number of fruit species (Coutinho et al, 2010), among which the genus Campomanesia is worth mentioning because it has the potential for commercial exploitation (Freitas et al, 2008).…”

“…During flowering, the major substances found were monoterpenes (limonene, α-pinene, and β-pinene), while during the vegetative state, the predominant substances were sesquiterpenes (bicyclogermacrene and globulol). When hexane and ethyl acetate extracts from C. adamantium leaves were evaluated, little variation was observed between their chemical compositions during plant development in different seasons, whereas the alcoholic extract had a significantly altered chemical composition (COUTINHO et al, 2010). When the biological activities of these organic extracts from C. adamantium were evaluated, they showed promising cytotoxic and antioxidant activities (RAMOS et al, 2007).…”
