Diterpenos isolados de Humirianthera ampla. Miers.

Abstract: From Humirianthera ampla, Icacinaceae, were isolated a phthalate, lupeol, β-sitosterol, glycosyl-sitosterol, one known annonalide diterpene and two new diterpenes named Humirianthol and Acrenol. Humirianthol and Acrenol were determined by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic techniques to be 3 β, 20:14 β, 16-diepoxy-3 α, 15 α-dihydroxy-7-pimaren-19, 6 β-olide and 3 β, 20-epoxi-3 α, 15, 16-trihydroxy-7-pimaren-19, 6 β-olide, respectively. Acrenol has antimicrobial activity.A planta Humirianthera ampla, pertence a famíli… Show more

“…Studies of chemical constituents of this plant revealed the presence of the di and triterpenoids: annonalide, humirianthol, acrenol and lupeol. In addition, substances as ␤-sitosterol and glycosylated sitosterol were also isolated from the ethanolic extract (EE) from the roots of Humirianthera ampla (Graebner et al, 2000(Graebner et al, , 2002. The presence of these compounds might explain the exceptional effect of the Humirianthera ampla against inflammation and pain caused by snake bite and consequently validates the large use of this plant by the Amazonia native people in this condition.…”
