Abstract: A comparação entre os países da América Latina é essencial para entendermos sua problemática, e especialmente entre a Argentina, o Brasil e o Chile. O Brasil tem sido, por mais de um século, uma sociedade com uma ampla reserva de mão-de-obra rural barata.
