Abstract: Em seguida, o ótimo ensaio "Urbanização no Portugal de hoje: o caso de Lisboa" (1998) consolida o quadro acima delineado e fornece, por meio de uma pesquisa bastante detalhada, um amplo panorama da dinâmica urbana lisboeta ao longo do século XX, relativamente pouco conhecida na Europa e no Brasil, que contrapõe planos urbanísticos e processos sociopolíticos que imprimiram marcas significativas em sua fisionomia urbana.
