Abstract: -Introduction -Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is the most common sarcoma of the digestive tract. This cancer occurs due to mutation of the KIT gene resulting in constitutive activation of KIT protein. The primary treatment is surgical and consists of complete resection.
