“…After 9/11, the Bush administration adopted metaphorical projection into the "Us" and "Them" camps as a useful discursive strategy in the process of justification of the military operations overseas. For the purpose of the paper, metaphors drawn from the source domain of "natural world" (Cameron 2010(Cameron , 2012 related to "hunt", "plant" and "growth" are presented as devices structuring the relationship between the two groups.
