At the interface between public health and marine ecology, there is a knowledge gap concerning the extent to which the carbon that enters sandy sediments when large biomass marine mammals decompose changes the sediment, bringing risks to human health. This study aimed to: 1) identify the fungal microbiota present in decomposing carcasses of South American sea lions (Otaria flavescens) found on beaches on the coast of southern Brazil, and 2) verify the extent to which the fungal microbiota are dispersed in the sandy sediment around the carcasses, presenting risks to human health. Samples of the corporal surface of 10 carcasses of O. flavescens deposited on beaches along the southern coast of Brazil, in a moderate decomposition state, as well as of the sand around the carcasses, were collected for analysis. Fungal microbiota was identified to genus level based on their macro-and micro-morphological characteristics.From carcasses were identified: Trichoderma, Aspergillus, Penicilium, Cladosporium and Fusarium. Aspergillus and Cladosporium were the most frequently taxa in the sand around the carcasses and in the control samples. Furthermore, their distribution around the carcasses was not compatible with the findings of fungi from the respective parts of the body, suggesting that these microorganisms were of a marine origin, and that their presence in the sand is not exclusively associated with the presence of the carcasses. The presence of Aspergillus in the carcass and sandy sediment reaffirms its regional distribution and the human risk due to dispersion of the spores from carcasses caused by wind.

O cultivo hidropônico em tomate cereja é uma técnica que vem cada vez mais se expandindo no país. São necessárias várias metodologias para que se obtenham bons resultados de produtividade. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi conhecer e debater através de revisão bibliográfica como o turno de rega pode ser utilizado como ferramenta para melhorias de sistemas hidropônicos, especificamente, para cultura do tomate cereja, relatando as vantagens e desvantagens que o sistema hidropônico pode agregar comparado ao sistema de cultivo convencional, além de abordar aspectos referentes à cultura do tomate cereja, como: exigências climáticas e comercialização. A solução nutritiva adotada em sistemas de hidroponia considera os elementos que são necessários para o desenvolvimento da planta, vale ressaltar que o tomateiro é uma planta altamente exigente em nutrientes. O turno de rega pode ser empregado para redução de gastos com energia elétrica, menor utilização de nutrientes, bem como diminuir a quantidade de água utilizada para circulação no sistema. A hidroponia se apresenta como técnica de cultivo muito utilizada para diversas culturas, amenizando os problemas fitossanitários, melhorando o controle dos aspectos nutricionais, redução do ciclo da cultura e obtenção de olerícolas de alta qualidade com alto padrão comercial. A adequação do turno de rega, em tomate cereja, é economicamente viável e sustentável ao produtor, diminuindo gastos e otimizando a produção. Palavras-chave: Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme. Tomate. Hidroponia.AbstractThe hydroponic cultivation in cherry tomatoes is a technique that has been increasingly expanding in the country. Several methodologies are required to achieve good productivity results. The purpose of the present work was to know and debate through a bibliographical review how the irrigation shift can be used as a tool for improvements of hydroponic systems, specifically for cherry tomato crop, reporting the advantages and disadvantages that the hydroponic system can add compared to the conventional cultivation system, besides addressing aspects related to the cherry tomato crop as climatic requirements and commercialization. The nutrient solution, adopted in hydroponic systems considers the elements that are necessary for the plant development, it is worth mentioning that tomato is a plant highly demanding in nutrients. The irrigation shift can be used to reduce expenses with electricity, less use of nutrients as well as decrease the amount of water used for circulation in the system. Hydroponics is presented as a widely used cropping technique for many crops, mitigating phytosanitary problems, improving the control of nutritional aspects, reducing the crop cycle and obtaining high quality olericultural plants with high commercial standards. The suitability of the irrigation shift in cherry tomatoes is economically viable and sustainable to the producer, reducing expenses and optimizing production.Keywords: Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme. RESUMONa atualidade a conservação dos documentos bibliográficos ainda apresenta problemas complexos e diversificados, apesar da maior consciência do tema nos últimos anos. Nesse contexto, a presente pesquisa objetiva conhecer o espectro fúngico de acervos de bibliotecas públicas de referência no município de Fortaleza-CE. Bimestralmente, durante 24 meses, 05 amostras/biblioteca provenientes de livros e/ou documentos históricos escolhidos aleatoriamente foram analisadas, perfazendo no total 180 amostras. As amostras foram colhidas através de swabs estéreis, friccionados por 30 segundos e em seguida transportados em solução salina estéril. Ao chegarem ao laboratório, as amostras foram semeadas em meio de cultura Ágar Batata Dextrose (Himedia®), incubadas por 7 dias (26 -28 °C) com posterior contagem global e identificação das colônias fúngicas baseada nas análises macro e micromorfológicas. Do total de obras analisadas 86% mostraram positividade para fungos. Nas bibliotecas A, B e C foram contabilizadas 3.612, 4.235 e 2.978 colônias fúngicas, respectivamente e identificados 55 diferentes achados fúngicos (29 gêneros e 26 espécies fúngicas), com destaque para os hialohifomicetos Aspergillus e Penicillium. Os dados revelaram alguns agrupamentos com forte correlação, isto é, quando um dos achados fúngicos ocorre, os demais achados do agrupamento também podem estar presentes nos livros analisados, a saber: Bibliotecas A e B (Aspergillus sp., Aspergillus flavus, Apergillus niger e Penicillium sp.) e Biblioteca C (Aspergillus niger, Trichoderma sp. e Penicillium sp.). A pesquisa permitiu oferecer aos gestores das bibliotecas, elementos para aprofundar seus conhecimentos na área de preservação e conservação de obras literárias de inestimável valor.
