Two new synonyms and a species reinstated in Phoradendron Nuttall (Viscaceae)

Abstract: RESUMO -(Dois novos sinônimos e uma espécie restabelecida em Phoradendron Nuttall (Viscaceae)). Três mudanças taxonômicas são propostas baseadas em coletas intensivas de Viscaceae no Distrito Federal, Brasil. “…The nodes in P. apiciflorum are thickened, similarly to P. coriaceum. We also include P. irwinianum, recognized by Caires & Proença (2007) as synonym of P. apiciflorum, as a new synonym of P. coriaceum. Phoradendron bahiense also has a thickened node and a white-margined cataphyll; and fewer flowers per fertile, pistillate, bract (3(-5)) which are common in P. coriaceum, and therefore we attribute it to variation within the population.…”
