Potencial para maricultura da carragenófita Hypnea musciformis (Wulfen) J.V. Lamour. (Gigartinales - Rhodophyta) na Ilha da Marambaia, Baía de Sepetiba, RJ, Brasil

Abstract: RESUMO -(Potencial para maricultura da carragenófita Hypnea musciformis (Wulfen) J.V. Lamour. “…The seawater was filtered in ester cellulose membrane (0.45 μm-Millipore). Growth was estimated as daily growth rate calculated according to the formula DGR=100×[ln(W t /W o )/t], where W o is the initial dry weight and W t is the final one and t time of cultivation (Reis et al 2006).…”

“…Previous studies of the genus Hypnea in Brazil have focused on mariculture (Berchez & Oliveira, 1989;Reis et al, 2006) or physiological and biochemical aspects of different species (Schenkman, 1980;Saito & Oliveira, 1990;Bravin & Yoneshigue-Valentin, 2002;Yokoya et al, 2007). Schenkman (1986) recognized six species of Hypnea on the coast of São Paulo State based on morphological characters: H. cervicornis J. Agardh, H. cornuta (Kützing) J. Agardh, H. musciformis (Wulfen) J.V.…”
