Abstract

Dear all, Last issue (4) ready, volume 34 completed! We end 2016, year when we resumed illustrating Horticultura Brasileira's covers with images related to a specially invited full article, discussing the currentness of the data and information collected by the naturalist Auguste de Saint-Hilaire, when it is celebrated the 200 th anniversary of his arrival to Brazil. We invited Professor Maria das Graças Brandão Lins and team to write about it, since they have a long, fruitful and distinguished history uncovering the treasure Saint-Hilaire revealed. In our first issue this year, we indicated in the Editor's letter that we would strengthen efforts towards internationalization. Well, we end the year letting you know that the Brazilian Association for Horticulture Science, which is responsible for publishing Horticultura Brasileira, decided for the complete conversion of the journal to English. From this decision, we started accepting submissions only when authors agree to publish in English. With this change, we also decided to discontinue the Grower's Page section. We also changed the publication of the Guidelines for Paper Submission. From now on, the Guidelines will no longer appear in the last, but instead they will be published in the first issue of each volume, and exclusively in English, as well as the Editor's Letter and the journal protocol information. You can also access the Guidelines, at any time, through the webpage. Finally, we thank you all, public, authors, reviewers and editors, who contributed so much with Horticultura Brasileira in 2016. In 2017, we keep on counting on you. Horticultura Brasileira is at your service. Until the next number, until the next volume.
