Comportamento agronômico e qualidade culinária de feijão-caupi no Vale do São Francisco

Abstract: A produção de feijão-caupi (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.) no Brasil encontra-se principalmente na região Nordeste. Esta leguminosa é um dos principais componentes da dieta alimentar do nordestino, além de ser também um importante gerador de emprego e renda. A área cultivada com feijão-caupi está em torno de 1.450.000 ha, a produção e a produtividade são de 429.375 t e 303 kg/ha, respectivamente.
