Abstract: Maria Yedda Leite Linhares was above all an educator of people. Her joy, her great happiness was to have around her young people with whom she could talk-always in an equal manner, seeking in each of them a talent, a vocation. Through her classrooms and her research offices generations passed. The first of these included names such as Arthur and Hugo Weiss, Valentina Rocha Lima, Francisco Falcon and Helena Lewin.
