Considering that the time that triatomine insects take to defecate is a crucial factor in the transmission of T. cruzi , 19,20 the present study investigated the feeding and defecation patterns of R. nasutus with the goal of estimating its potential capacity for transmitting Chagas disease in northeastern Brazil.…”
