Abstract

ABSTRACT. Fauna ofCulicidae (Diptera) found in the internodes ofthe bamboo in a residual forest in the urban area ofLondrina -Paraná, Brazil. A fragment of a forest, located in the urban area ofLondrina, Paraná, Brazil,was chosen to represent the area torthis study. Many Meroslachys Spreng, 1824 bamboo, which were naturally pertorated and, therefore, ready to retain water, were found in the interior ofthis forest. Bamboo were collected every fifteen days during lield actions. They were lhen measured and cutmeter by meter betore their contents were analyzed in the laboratOly. A total 01' 542 specimens from the tollowing species were collected during one year:

Phytotelmata colonization in bamboo (Guadua sp.) culms in northeast Argentina
