Aspectos bioecológicos do camarão-rosa Penaeus Brasiliensis latreille (natantia, penaeidae) da Lagoa da Conceiçao, Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brasil

Abstract

ABSTRACT, BIOECOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF TI-I E PINK-SHRIMP PENAEUS BRASILlENSIS LA-TREILLE (NATANTlA, PENAEIDAE) OF THE CONCEiÇÃO LAKE, FLORlAN6pOLlS, SANTA CATARfNA, BRAZIL. ln the time period between May/92 to Abril/93, 602 (267 males and 335 females) specimens of p, brasi/iensis Latreille, 1817 were collected, The shrimps were captured by night using a hand nel in areas belween 30 to ISO cm deep, The amplitude oflength ranged from 1,3 to 13,7 cm, the highest frequencies of capture were registered during lhe Fali belween lhe classes of 7,0 and 10,0 cm, The males present isometric growth and lhe females negative allomelric one, The size of lhe pre-adult ranged from 8,8 cm for the females and 9,2 cm for the males, The recruiting occurs chiefly in the Summer with intense growth during the Fall-Winler period, reaching a climax wilh the migralion of pre-adulls to lhe ocean in ll1idwinler. KEY WORDS , Penaeus brasi/iensis, bioecology, migration, Conceição Lake Penaeus brasiliensis Latreille, 1817 é conhecido como camarão-rosa, sua distribuição geográfica estende-se de Cabo Hatteras (Carolina do Norte, USA), Floriada, Bermudas, Bahamas, Antilhas e ao longo da Costa Atlântica da América do Sul até o Rio Grande do Sul (Brasil) (PÉREZ FARFANTE 1969; IWAl 1973), A reprodução de p, brasiliensis como em outros camarões do gênero Penaeus, ocorre em mar aberto entre 40 a 80 m de profundidade durante todo o ano, com maior intensidade no final do inverno e início da primavera; as pós-larvas penetram nos estuários onde ocorre o crescimento, e os pré-adultos migram dos criadouros para as zonas de reprodução no mar (D'INCAO 1985), Assim, a pesca artesanal no I i toraI catarinense, efetuada nos estuários e baías, atua sobre os j uven is e pré-adultos, enquanto a frota industrial opera sobre o estoque adulto.A Lagoa da Conceição, além da tradicional pesca artesanal de mugilídeos e crustáceos é utilizada para recreação, transporte e local de deposição de esgosto sem tratamento, proveniente das regiões urbanas circunvizinhas (SIERRA DE LEDO 1990).
