“…This suggests that G. graminea may be adapted to colder temperatures and, consequently, be able to establish and provide better control of S. viarum in northern regions of the southeastern USA. G. graminea can be distinguished from G. boliviana by its smaller body size, green coloration throughout the elytra of adults, and larger punctures in the first row of striae on the elytra (Buzzi 1995). Studies of the biology of this new agent revealed that adults lay single eggs on S. viarum leaves and petioles, larvae undergo five instars, and pupation occurs on plant foliage .…”
