Vigor de sementes de rúcula e desempenho das plantas em campo

RESUMO:O objetivo do trabalho foi verificar a eficiência dos testes de deterioração controlada e envelhecimento acelerado na diferenciação da qualidade fisiológica de sementes de repolho, cvs. "quatro estações" e "sessenta dias". As sementes foram submetidas aos testes de deterioração controlada com teores de água de 16, 18, 20 e 22%, a 45 ºC durante 24 h, e ao teste de envelhecimento acelerado (45 ºC por 48 h). Em seguida, as sementes foram dispostas em placas de Petri, acondicionadas em BOD com temperatura constante de 30 ºC, sendo avaliadas quanto à germinação e ao vigor. Os testes de envelhecimento acelerado e deterioração controlada são eficientes para identificar diferentes níveis de vigor das sementes dos cultivares de repolho "quatro estações" e "sessenta dias", principalmente por meio da análise do índice de velocidade de geminação. Seeds were tested for controlled deterioration test (water content of seeds with 16, 18, 20 and 22% at 45 ° C for 24 h) and accelerated aging (45 ° C for 48 h). The seeds were sown in Petri dishes lined with paper germitest and kept in a germination chamber type Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) under constant temperature of 30 °C., were studied germination and vigor. The accelerated aging and controlled deterioration are efficient to identify different levels of seed vigor of cultivars of cabbage "quatro estações" and "sessenta dias", mainly through germination speed index.Keywords: Brassica oleracea L. Germination. Vigor. INTRODUÇÃOA utilização de sementes de alta qualidade é essencial para obter altas taxas de germinação com estande uniforme e plântulas vigorosas no campo. A qualidade fisiológica pode ser avaliada por testes de germinação, que geralmente são conduzidos em condições favoráveis de umidade e temperatura, que superestima o potencial fisiológico dos lotes. Para avaliar o vigor são necessários outros testes de maior sensibilidade e eficiência para distinguir lotes e cultivares com relação ao nível de vigor (MARCOS FILHO, 2005;SANTOS et al., 2011), como os testes de envelhecimento acelerado e deterioração controlada.

Vegetable development and productivity are influenced by several factors, including the nutrient amounts available. Providing adequate nitrogen favours vegetative growth and promotes increased productivity, in addition to providing greater succulence and improving leaf quality. This work evaluated the effect of nitrogen doses and sources on arugula culture development and productivity. The experiment was conducted on the experimental farm at the State University of Goiás, Ipameri campus, in the municipality of Ipameri, Goiás state (GO). The experiment used a 2 × 5 factorial randomized complete block design, with two sources (normal urea and coated urea), five nitrogen doses (0, 60, 120, 180 and 240 kg ha-1 of N) and four replicates. Plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, fresh shoot matter, dry shoot matter and productivity were evaluated. The results obtained here suggest that nitrogen sources do not influence arugula culture development, but nitrogen doses influence the arugula culture’s productive characteristics.
