Application of Plant Growth Regulators to Stipa krylovii in the Xilin Gol Grassland

Abstract: -Plant growth regulators are an immense group of substances that have the ability to alter growth pattern of plants and can be used for improving plant growth and productivity. A study was conducted in the Xilin Gol grassland of Inner Mongolia, China, to ascertain the growth and biomass production of Stipa krylovii in response to exogenous application of different growth regulators at various concentrations viz. naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), 6-benzylaminopurine (6-BA), brassinosteroid (BR), sodium nitrophenol… Show more

“…Despite brassinosteroids role in the regulation of several key genes in physiological and plant growth processes (Anwar et al, 2018), it was not enough to increase the plant height under stress conditions. However, for phytohormone efficiency, it is necessary to study the method of application, specie, climate, development stage and other factors (Jun et al, 2018).…”

“…It was presented by researcher that almost 20% yield of winter wheat can be increased by use of PGRs along with nitrogen fertilizer (Shekoufa and Emam, 2008). Numerous nitrophenols and their salts have been reported as plant growth regulators ( Jun et al, 2018;Pu et al, 2018). There are also reports regarding the use of a mixture containing sodium-5-nitroguaiacol, sodium-2, 4-nitrophenol, sodium-p-nitrophenol and sodium-o-nitrophenol as plant growth regulator.…”
