Abstract: EditorialInfecções estão intimamente ligadas às neoplasias. Cerca de um quinto dos cânceres são conseqüência da presença de algum agente infeccioso e, com larga vantagem, figura o papilomavírus humano (HPV) como o organismo infectante mais apto a provocar neoplasias.
