ABSTRACT:The high susceptibility to diseases of fine table grapes cultivars demand intensive use of pesticides, and the presence of water on the leaf surface can worsen the deposition of these products. The objective of this study was to evaluate the spray deposition in vine leaves in different conditions of leaf wetness, and test the effectiveness of an artificial ventilation method to remove water on the leaf surface. We evaluated the spray deposition in vine applied over: wet canopy (presence of high leaf wetness); canopy dried artificially (dried with air jet from air-assisted sprayer, wind speed of 25 km h -1 ) and canopy dried naturally (naturally dried leaves and free of water on its surface). Saline marker was used in the spray and the deposition on the canopy was determined by conductimetry. A pesticide application in vine, with the presence of water in the leaf surface, causes losses by run-off and reduces the deposit of spraying. The use of air jet formed by air-assisted sprayer fan is efficient for the removal of water on the vine leaf surface and its use can increase the favorable period for the application of pesticides without causing dilution and losses by run-off of the applied product.

Resumo -A aplicação eficiente de defensivos agrícolas, sem prejuízos ao meio ambiente, depende de uma série de fatores, sendo um deles a utilização de pontas de boa qualidade. Objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar a vazão, a distribuição volumétrica e o espectro de gotas das pontas de pulverização hidráulica novas e usadas sob diferentes condições operacionais. A distribuição volumétrica foi determinada em bancada de ensaios padronizada utilizando pressões de 400, 600 e 800 kPa, altura de 0,50 m em relação à bancada e espaçamento entre pontas de 0,50 m. Em ambiente controlado, avaliou-se o espectro de gotas, por meio de um analisador a laser de gotas em tempo real, nas pressões de 400, 600 e 800 kPa. As médias das vazões proporcionadas pelas pontas em uma mesma pressão foram significativamente diferentes na pressão de 800 kPa entre pontas novas e usadas, sendo respectivamente 0,85 e 0,97 L min -1 . As pontas usadas apresentaram vazão 10% acima daquela informada pelo fabricante. O coeficiente de variação da distribuição indicou que as melhores distribuições ocorrem para pontas novas com pressão de trabalho não superior a 400 kPa. Houve diferença significativa da vazão na pressão de 800 kPa entre pontas novas e usadas, sendo respectivamente 0,85 e 0,97 L min -1 . Palavras-chave -Tecnologia de aplicação. Tamanho de gotas. Pressão de trabalho.Abstract -The efficient application of pesticides without harming the environment depends on a number of factors, one of them being the use of nozzles quality. This study aimed to evaluate the distribution profile and droplet spectra ofnew and used low drift spray nozzles under different operational conditions. The volumetric distribution was determined on a test table at 400, 600 and 800 kPa pressures, height of 0,50 m in relation to the patternator and nozzle spacing from 0,50 m. In a controlled environment, droplet spectrum, using a real time laser particle size analyzer, was measured with the operating pressure of 400, 600 and 800 kPa. Analyzing the resultsof the meanflowprovided by spray nozzles, for the same pressure, there was a significant difference inpressurebetween800 kPa new and used nozzles, respectively 0.85 and 0.97 L min -1 . The flow values found for the spray nozzles used had flow 10% above that reported by the manufacturer. The coefficient of variation of the distribution indicated that the best distributions occur with new spray nozzles for working pressure not exceeding 400 kPa. There were significant differences in the flow pressure of 800 kPa between new and used nozzles, being respectively 0.85 and 0.97 L min -1 .

ABSTRACT:The study aimed to determine an optimum angle for the nozzles axial-flow sprayers a deposition for better vertical distribution focused on cashew. In laboratory tests were conducted adjusting the angle of the nozzle axial-flow sprayers. The experimental design was randomized blocks in a 2x3 factorial with four replications. The treatment for this test were two settings (with and without the adjustment of the angles of the nozzles ) and tree application volumes 273, 699 and 954 L ha-¹.The study was conducted in an orchard of dwarf cashew, with eight years of age. It was concluded that the volumetric distribution profile showed better vertical distribution uniformity when the angles of the nozzles were regulated for the canopy, the adjustment of the angles of the nozzles for the canopy provided greater deposition of droplets, the increased volume of application resulted in higher depositions in the leaves of the crop.KEYWORDS: fruit, deposition, vertical patternator. CALIBRAÇÃO DOS ÂNGULOS DOS BICOS E A DEPOSIÇÃO DE CALDA DE UMTURBOATOMIZADOR NA CULTURA DO CAJUEIRO-ANÃO RESUMO: O estudo teve como objeto determinar melhor angulação para os bicos de um turboatomizador para a deposição de distribuição vertical otimizada e dedicada ao cajueiro-anão. Em laboratório, foram conduzidos os testes de regulagem dos ângulos dos bicos do turboatomizador. Utilizou-se delineamento experimental em blocos casualisados, em esquema fatorial 2x3, com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos foram duas regulagens (com e sem regulagem dos ângulos dos bicos) e três volumes de aplicação, sendo 273; 699 e 954 L ha-¹. O estudo a campo foi conduzido em um pomar de cajueiro-anão precoce, com oito anos de idade. Concluiu-se que o perfil de distribuição volumétrico vertical apresentou melhor uniformidade de distribuição quando os ângulos dos bicos foram regulados para a copa da cultura; a regulagem dos ângulos dos bicos para a copa da cultura proporcionou maiores deposições de gotas; o aumento do volume de aplicação proporcionou maiores deposições nas folhas da cultura.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: fruticultura, deposição, mesa vertical.
