The current study intended to determine the optimum water depth, yield and evapotranspiration (ETc) for bean cultivars. The experiment was conducted in the Campus of Unit I of the Triângulo Mineiro Federal Education and Technology Institute in Uberaba, MG, in a completely randomized design with three replications. The treatments consisted of four water-replacing levels in the soil (70, 100, 130 and 160% of the crop evapotranspiration) and four bean cultivars (Pérola, BRSMG Madrepérola, BRSMG Majestoso and IAC Alvorada). The average values of ETc obtained for soil water balance for the cultivars Pérola, BRSMG Madrepérola, BRSMG Majestoso and IAC Alvorada were, respectively, of 5.25 mm day-1, 4.59 mm day-1, 4.54 mm day-1 and 4.77 mm day-1. The water depths which provided the highest yields were for the cultivars Pérola, BRSMG Madrepérola, BRSMG Majestoso and IAC Alvorada of 451.61 mm, 454.41 mm, 504.71 mm and 344.30 mm, respectively. The maximum yields found were 4597.87 kg ha-1 (Pérola), 4546.27 kg ha-1 (BRSMG Madrepérola), 4253.39 kg ha-1 (BRSMG Majestoso) and 3958.50kg ha-1 (IAC Alvorada).

The application of water by an irrigation system always shows a degree of unevenness. Uniformity in conventional sprinkler systems depends on factors such as: the type of sprinkler and its operating conditions, the arrangement and spacing between sprinklers in the field, and the speed and direction of the wind during the period of application of water. The variation in soil moisture is dependent on the distribution and amount of water applied. The effect of irrigation uniformity on crop productivity is a significant factor to be considered in sprinkler irrigation projects. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of water application uniformity on the productivity of potato, beet and bean crops. For the three cultures, conditions of different spacings between the emitters (6 x 6m, 12 x 12m, 12 x 18m and 12 x 24m) were simulated resulting in different water application uniformity coefficients. Next, production functions were developed by other authors. The results indicated the spatial variability of productivity as a function of the distribution uniformity of the emitters. The productivity of potato, beet and bean crops were affected by the high disuniformities of water application via sprinklers. PALAVRAS-CHAVE:aspersão; distribuição; produção.

RESUMO:O estudo foi realizado por meio de simulações, inseridas em seis cenários de níveis de uniformidade de aplicação de água, nas condições de Cristalina-GO, com o objetivo de avaliar o efeito da aplicação de diferentes lâminas de irrigação na produtividade comercial da cultura do feijão (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) cv. Carioca. Para tanto, utilizou-se o sistema de irrigação por aspersão convencional, mediante dados de produtividade obtidos por intermédio da função de produtividade desenvolvida para as condições locais. Os resultados obtidos permitiram concluir que a maior produtividade de grãos (2.946,52 kg ha -1 ) foi obtida com o maior coeficiente de uniformidade de aplicação da água do sistema de irrigação por aspersão (90%), que resultou no menor valor de lâmina média coletada (418,16 mm) no ciclo da cultura. Ainda foi possível observar que o modelo e o método adotados se mostraram adequados para gerar cenários de produtividade do feijoeiro para as condições locais do presente estudo. The results showed that the highest grain yield (2,946.52 kg ha -1 ) was obtained with the highest coefficient of water application uniformity in sprinkler irrigation system (90%) which resulted in the lowest average depth collected (418.16 mm) in the crop cycle. It was even observed that the model and the method adopted proved to be adequate to generate scenarios of bean yield to local conditions of the present study.
