A B S T R A C TThis study assessed the effect of different substrates and addition of nutrient solution on the production of Pochota fendleri seedlings, leaf contents of macro and micronutrients and chlorophyll a and b. The experimental design was completely randomized, in a 3 x 2 factorial scheme, with four replicates. The factors were three substrates, with or without addition of nutrient solution, composing six treatments: (T1) = sand; (T2) = soil; (T3) = sand + soil (1:1); (T4) = sand + nutrient solution; (T5) = soil + nutrient solution; (T6) = sand + soil + nutrient solution. Growth characteristics (height, collar diameter, shoot dry matter, root dry matter, root/shoot ratio and total dry matter) and contents of macro-and micronutrients and chlorophyll a and b were evaluated. The use of nutrient solution reduces the time to obtain seedlings of Pochota fendleri, and it is important for proper growth and quality of seedlings. The sequence of nutritional requirement presented by Pochota fendleri seedlings in three substrates with addition of nutrient solution follows the descending order: macronutrients (N > Ca > K > Mg > P > S) and micronutrients (Fe > Mn > B > Zn > Cu).Solução nutritiva e substratos para produção de mudas de cedro doce (Pochota fendleri) R E S U M OObjetivou-se, neste trabalho, verificar o efeito da adição de solução nutritiva em diferentes substratos na produção de mudas de Pochota fendleri, e seu efeito nos teores de macro e micronutrientes e de clorofilas a e b nas folhas. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 3 x 2, com quatro repetições. Os fatores foram três substratos e adição ou não de solução nutritiva, compondo seis tratamentos: (T1) = areia; (T2) = solo; (T3) = solo + areia (1:1); (T4) = areia + solução nutritiva; (T5) = solo + solução nutritiva; (T6) = solo + areia + solução nutritiva. Foram avaliadas características de crescimento (altura, diâmetro do colo e massa seca da parte aérea e radicular, relação raiz/ parte aérea e massa seca total), além dos teores de macro e micronutrientes e de clorofilas a e b. A utilização de solução nutritiva reduz o tempo para obtenção de mudas de Pochota fendleri e é importante para o crescimento e qualidade das mudas. A sequência de exigência nutricional das mudas nos três substratos com adição de solução nutritiva segue em ordem decrescente: macronutrientes (N > Ca > K > Mg > P > S ) e micronutrientes (Fe > Mn > B > Zn > Cu).

RESUMOEste trabalho objetivou avaliar o efeito de fontes de nitrogênio e respectivas doses sobre o crescimento e a qualidade de mudas de ipê-amarelo (Tabebuia serratifolia). As mudas foram produzidas em Latossolo Vermelho-Amarelo e as fontes de nitrogênio utilizadas foram nitrato de amônio, sulfato de amônio e nitrato de cálcio, aplicadas em cinco doses (0 mg, 75 mg, 150 mg, 225 mg e 300 mg dm -3 ) e parceladamente, aos 25, 50, 75 e 100 dias após a repicagem. Adotou-se esquema fatorial 3 × 5 no delineamento experimental, casualizado em blocos, com quatro repetições. Aos 125 dias após a repicagem, a adição do nitrogênio proporcionou efeito significativo na produção de mudas de ipê-amarelo, sendo que a fonte sulfato de amônio produziu as melhores médias para todas as características e índices avaliados. Recomenda-se, para a produção de mudas de ipê-amarelo, a utilização de sulfato de amônio na dose de 100 mg dm -3 de N.Palavras-chave: nutrição florestal, propagação de plantas, espécies nativas, nitrogênio. Production of Yellow Cortez (Tabebuia serratifolia) Seedlings in Response to Nitrogen Fertilization ABSTRACTThis work aimed to evaluate the effect of sources of nitrogen and respective levels on growth and quality of Yellow Cortez (Tabebuia serratifolia) seedlings. Seedlings were grown on a Oxisol and nitrogen sources were ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulphate and calcium nitrate, applied in five doses (0, 75, 150, 225 and 300 mg dm -3 ) and increments of 25, 50, 75 and 100 days after transplanting. The experimental design was randomized in blocks in factorial scheme (3 × 5) with four replications. At 125 days after transplanting, the addition of nitrogen provided significant effect on seedling production of Yellow Cortez (Tabebuia serratifolia), and the ammonium sulfate produced the best means for all traits and indexes evaluated. We recommend the use of ammonium sulfate at a dose of 100 mg dm -3 N for Yellow Cortez seedling.

ABSTRACT:This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different dosages of nitrogen (N) about the initial growth of 'paricá' (Schizolobium amazonicum Huber ex. Ducke) seedlings. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse and the seedlings cultivated in plastic bags filled with 5.0 kg of Oxisol, arranged in a completely randomized design with five treatments and ten repetitions. The nitrogen tests doses were 0, 40, 80, 120, 160 kg ha -1 . The heights, stem diameter, fresh aerial matter, root and total and height/diameter stem, were evaluated at 45 days post-transplant. All variables responses in a quadratic way to N applied doses. Until 45 days post-transplant, it was indicated the dose of 84.66 kg ha -1 of N to obtain seedlings with greater height and 71 kg ha -1 of N seedlings with a larger diameter.Keywords: Schizolobium amazonicum, seedling production, mineral nutrition, fertilizing.Crescimento inicial de mudas de paricá sob diferentes doses de nitrogênio RESUMO: O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar os efeitos de diferentes dosagens de nitrogênio (N) sobre o crescimento inicial de mudas de paricá (Schizolobium amazonicum Huber ex. O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação e as mudas cultivadas em sacolas plásticas preenchidas com 5,0 kg de Latossolo Vermelho Amarelo, arranjados em delineamento inteiramente casualizado com cinco tratamentos e dez repetições. Testou-se as doses de 0, 40, 80, 120, 160 kg ha -1 de N. Avaliou-se aos 45 dias pós-transplante a altura, diâmetro do colo, massa fresca da parte aérea, da raiz e total e relação altura/diâmetro do colo. Todas as variáveis responderam de forma quadrática as doses de N aplicada. Até os 45 dias pós transplantio indica-se a dose de 84,66 kg ha -1 de N para obtenção de mudas com maior altura e 71 kg ha -1 de N para mudas com maior diâmetro.
