Caracterização de isolados de Phytophthora infestans do Distrito Federal e de Goiás

Abstract: Foram caracterizados 123 isolados de Phytophthora infestans obtidos de 21 lavouras de tomateiro e oito de batateira, em municípios do Estado de Goiás e Cidades Satélites de Brasília, no período de abril de 2001 a setembro de 2003. Os isolados foram caracterizados para os marcadores grupo de compatibilidade (123 isolados); isoenzima glucose 6-fosfato-isomerase (Gpi) (34 isolados) e resistência aos fungicidas mefenoxam (77 isolados) e metalaxyl (32 isolados de batateira), usando o método de disco de folhas. “…Este comportamento pode ser explicado devido à alta incidência da requeima (Phytophthora infestans), e aos danos causados pela broca pequena do fruto (Neuleucinoides elegantalis), que apesar de não ser objetivo de avaliação desta pesquisa, visualmente essa cultivar foi muito atacada. As variedades e híbridos de tomateiro cultivado no Brasil são suscetíveis à requeima (REIS et al, 2006), e nem todos os genótipos com boas características agronômicas e comerciais apresentam nível satisfatório de resistência à requeima (FIORINI et al, 2010). Resultados contrários foram identificados por Caliman et al (2005) que obtiveram produtividade total de frutos superior quando cultivados sob ambiente protegido em comparação ao cultivo em campo, destacando o híbrido em relação aos demais genótipos testados, no entanto, utilizaram alta doses de fertilizantes químicos e controle de pragas e doenças com agrotóxicos sintéticos.…”
