Quatorze isolados de Phytophthora palmivora foram obtidos na rizosfera de diferentes cultivos agrícolas: mamoeiro (Carica papaya L.) (9), couve (Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala) (1), jiló (Solanum gilo Raddi) (2), bananeira ornamental (Musa coccinea Ander) (1) e manjericão (Ocimum basilicum L.) (1), mediante coletas realizadas nos municípios de Itabuna, Ituberá e Itacaré, estado da Bahia, Brasil. Todos os isolados são do tipo compatível A1 e patogênicos aos seus respectivos cultivos de origem. Estes são os primeiros registros de P. palmivora associada a cultivos de couve, jiló, bananeira ornamental e manjericão.

Fourteen isolates of Phytophthora palmivora were obtained in the rhizosphere of different agricultural crops: papaya (Carica papaya L.) (9), cabbage (Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala) (1), gilo (Solanum gilo Raddi) (2), ornamental banana plant (Musa coccinea Ander) (1) and basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) (1), through surveys realized in the counties of Itabuna, Ituberá and Itacaré, state of Bahia, Brazil. All isolates are of the A1 mating type and pathogenic to their respective source crops. These are the first records of P. palmivora associated with cabbage, gilo, ornamental banana plant and basil crops.
