Abstract: Recebido em 19/9/09; aceito em 18/5/10; publicado na web em 22/9/10 QUINARY AXIS: AN ELEMENT OF SYMMETRY THAT OCCURS IN MOLECULES AND QUASICRYSTALS -A DIDACTIC EXPERIMENT OF CRYSTALLOGRAPHY. Axis of quinary symmetry occur in molecular symmetry, as in the case of fullerenes, and in crystalline symmetry, in the quasicrystals.
