Um novo procedimento de síntese da zeólita A empregando argilas naturais

Abstract: Recebido em 26/9/07; aceito em 22/7/08; publicado na web em 18/12/08 A NEW PROCEDURE FOR A ZEOLITE SYNTHESIS FROM NATURAL CLAYS. This work proposes the synthesis of zeolite A by IZA standard proceedures starting from a natural clay. The clay was used in its natural form and after calcination at 900 o C. The resulting materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and porosity analysis by nitrogen adsorption. Results showed low surface area for Na-A zeolite in sodium… Show more

“…After the addition of the enzyme to the substrates, the mixture was kept at 40 °C and 150 rpm for 40 minutes. Then, the oleic acid consumption was determined 18 . One lipase activity unit (UE) was defined as the amount of enzyme necessary to consume 1µmol of oleic acid per minute at the established experimental conditions presented previously.…”

“…Although there have been many studies related to the synthesis of zeolite Afrom kaolin [1][2][3][4], it is important to consider the different characteristics of this clay mineral when derived from different regions, which can directly influence the yield of the final synthesis product. In Brazil, the kaolin reserves are almost entirely concentrated (93%) in the sedimentary deposits of the three largest kaolin districts in the country: Rio Capimin the State of Para,Jaríin the State of Amapáand a third deposit in the State of Amazon.…”
