Síntese de poli(p-xililenos)

Abstract: Recebido em 9/2/98; aceito em 22/3/99 SYNTHESIS OF POLY(P-XYLYLENES). Poly(p-xylylenes), PPX, are a class of high performance insulating materials with many applications in the electronic component industry. We review herewith the most important synthetic routes to these polymers, described in the literature, since 1904.Keywords: poly(p-xylylenes); PPX; insulating polymers. REVISÃO INTRODUÇÃOPoli(p-xilileno), PPX, é uma classe de polímeros isolantes conhecida há mais de noventa anos, mas que ganhou importân-ci… Show more

“…It can also be of considerable interest for creating new nanocomposite materials that include both macromolecular organic and inorganic components (e.g., inorganic nanoparticles in a polymer matrix). PPX was discovered at the beginning of the 20th century, and its extensive experimental study started in 1940−60s when the commercial production of the polymer was developed by the Union Carbide Company; a lot of experimental data on PPX and its substituted derivatives has been accumulated by now. ,

Their structure and thermodynamic properties (including transition characteristics) were investigated in a number of works.…”
