Estudo voltamétrico do complexo de cobre(II) com o ligante vermelho de alizarina S, adsorvido na superfície do eletrodo de grafite pirolítico

Abstract: VOLTAMMETRIC STUDY OF COMPLEX OF COPPER(II) WITH ALIZARIN RED S LIGAND, ADSORBED ON SURFACE OF PYROLYTIC GRAPHITE ELECTRODE. The alizarin red S (ARS)has been used as a spectrophotometric reagent of several metals for a long time. Now this alizarin has been used as modifier agent of electrodes, for voltammetric analyses. In this work cyclic voltammetry experiments was accomplished on closed circuit, with the objective of studying the voltammetric behavior of alizarin red S adsorbed and of its copper complex, on… Show more

“…Kidney damage, brain damage, mental disorder, behaviour problems and development delays are severe health issues amalgamated with subject to high levels of metal ions (e.g., Cd 2+ , Pb 2+ and Hg 2+ ) due to their propensity to be assemble in the body, noxious and elimination rate is very low [5,6]. For instance, the biological half-life of lead in bone is more than 20 years, while that for cadmium is 10-30 years [7]. Hence detection and elimination of these metal ions is necessary to maintain healthy environment and human health.…”

“…[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] In the analysis of trace metals, CME have shown some advantages over other analytical methods and have been employed as powerful tools for concentration determination and surface structure identification. 9,10 One of the strategies for surface modification is to employ organic ligands such as phenanthrolines, [11][12][13][14] anthraquinone, 15 pyrazine, 16 alizarin, 17, 18 and triazine 19 which adsorb irreversibly onto the surface of a glassy carbon electrode.…”

“…O reagente Vermelho de Alizarina S começou a ser empregado com propósitos analíticos como reagente colorimétrico por Atack 16 em 1915 e, até hoje, o VAS é empregado com propósitos analíticos de forma satisfatória [17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24] .…”
