Abstract: A espécie Passiflora cincinnata Mast. Show more

“…Among the concentrations, only the value of recently harvested seeds in the control treatment (0%) was inferior to the others ( Figure 3A). The results of number of leaves agree with those of Zucareli et al (2009b), who observed greater increment in number of leaves at the concentration of 300 mg L -1 , which corresponds to 0.03% of GA 4+7 + N-(phenyl methyl)-aminopurine. Thus, it can be inferred that the low concentration of the growth regulator (0.03%) is sufficient to overcome the dormancy of the seeds, because the best results for most of the analyzed variables occurred at this concentration.…”

“…According to Meletti et al (2002), seed storage for more than two years plus heat treatment are ways of reaching acceptable rates of germination. In addition, pretreating seeds stored for one year with regulators GA4 +7+N-(phenyl-methyl)-aminopurine is also effective for raising the emergency P. cincinnata seeds (ZUCARELI et al, 2009).…”

“…Due to the hindrances of seed germination, several studies have been developed in order to study the germination of Passiflora spp. [5,14]. However, the Passifloraceae family presents high potential as rootstocks because they are resistant to foliar and soil diseases [15], demonstrating the need for studies regarding the overcoming of seed dormancy.…”
