Vigor híbrido em tangerina 'Sunki'

Abstract: Pesq. agropec. bras., Brasília, v.34, n.5, p.903-909, maio 1999 HYBRID VIGOUR ON SUNKI MANDARINABSTRACT -Controlled crosses of Sunki with Poncirus trifoliata and its hybrids were performed in order to estimate the zygotic seedlings frequency, by comparing its vigour with the ones from nucellar origin. A relatively high fruit set rate of 40% was achieved, which indicates a good compatibility within the parental crosses. The observed frequency of zygotic seedlings was 48% and certainly this was underestimat… Show more

“…Except for the hybrid RM002, about which no information was obtained about flowering, and hybrids RYG001 and CM003, the other genotypes studied showed precocity regarding start of flowering and hence fruit production, which occurred at ages between three and four years, in comparison with most other citrus seedlings, which take at least seven years to reach maturity [22]. The early start of flowering is a very important trait, because flower and fruit production are desirable qualities of ornamental plants.…”
