SUMMARYLong-standing applications of mineral fertilizers or types of organic wastes such as manure can cause phosphorus (P) accumulation and changes in the accumulated P forms in the soil. The objective of this research was to evaluate the forms of P accumulated in soils treated with mineral fertilizer or different types of manure in a long-term experiment. Soil was sampled from the 0-5 cm layer of plots fertilized with five different nutrient sources for nine years: 1) control without fertilizer; 2) mineral fertilizer at recommended rates for local conditions; 3) 5 t ha -1 year -1 of moist poultry litter; 4) 60 m 3 ha -1 year -1 of liquid cattle manure and 5) 40 m 3 ha -1 year -1 of liquid swine manure. The 31 P-NMR spectra of soil extracts detected the following P compounds: orthophosphate, pyrophosphate, inositol phosphate, glycerophosphate, and DNA. The use of organic or mineral fertilizer over nine years did not change the soil P forms but influenced their concentration. Fertilization with mineral or organic fertilizers stimulated P accumulation in inorganic forms. Highest inositol phosphate levels were observed after fertilization with any kind of manure and highest organic P concentration in glycerophosphate form in after mineral or no fertilization.Index terms: glycerophosphate, manure, phytate, organic phosphorus, organic fertilization.(1) Received for publication on October 26, 2011 and approved on January 22, 2013.

The use of cover crops is a strategy to maintain the productive capacity of agricultural soils. The increase of organic carbon content, nutrient cycling and, consequently, the increase in soil fertility are some of the greatest benefits. This study evaluated the chemical attributes of the soil after the use of cover crops species in the Cerrado region of Piaui. The experiment was carried out from January 2015 to July 2016. It was performed in a completely randomized block design with eleven treatments and four replicates. ), potential acidity (H + Al), soil organic carbon (OC), the saturation of bases (V%), saturation by aluminum (m%) and effective CEC were measured. Fifteen months after their establishment, cover crops positively influenced the levels of P, K and OC with no changes in the other chemical properties. The OC contents were higher with the use of C. cajan -cv. 'fava larga', brachiaria and C. ochroleuca + millet, mainly in the topsoil. C. espectabilis, spontaneous vegetation, M. aterrima, brachiaria and C. ochroleuca were the most efficient in K cycling.

Os autores ainda verificaram que a adubação mineral reduziu os valores de pH nas profundidades de 0,0-0,05 e 0,05-0,10 m. Burin (2002) também observou aumento do pH com a aplicação de cama de aviário e composto de carcaça de aves, comparado à fertilização mineral e ao tratamento controle. Segundo o autor, este efeito foi em decorrência do aumento dos teores de cálcio e magnésio no solo, proveniente dos adubos orgânicos utilizados.…”

Atributos químicos do solo sob plantio direto afetado por sistemas de culturas e fontes de adubação RESUMO Sistemas de culturas e fontes de adubação podem afetar os atributos químicos do solo e, consequentemente, sua fertilidade. Com o objetivo de avaliar o efeito destas práticas de manejo, foram analisadas amostras de solos coletadas nas camadas de 0,0-0,10; 0,10-0,20 e 0,20-0,40 m de profundidade, no segundo ano de um experimento instalado em 2006, em um Latossolo Vermelho Eutroférrico sob sistema de plantio direto, localizado na Estação Experimental Agronômica da UNIOESTE, em Marechal Cândido Rondon, PR. O experimento foi constituído por dois sistemas de culturas (com e sem rotação de culturas de cobertura) e três fontes de adubação (mineral, orgânica e mineral+orgânica). As adubações orgânica e mineral+orgânica consistiram, respectivamente, da aplicação de esterco animal e de esterco animal combinado com fertilizante mineral. Os diferentes sistemas de culturas, associados à aplicação de diferentes fontes de adubação, não afetaram o pH, o potássio trocável (K + ) e a capacidade de troca de cátions (CTC), porém, influenciaram a matéria orgânica (MO), a acidez potencial (H + + Al 3+ ), o alumínio trocável (Al 3+ ), o fósforo (P), o cálcio (Ca 2+ ), o magnésio (Mg 2+ ) e a soma e saturação por bases (V%). As adubações orgânica e mineral+orgânica com esterco animal destacaram-se no incremento de Ca e Mg no solo. With the aim of evaluating the effect of such management practices, soil samples collected at 0.0-0.10; 0.10-0.20; and 0.20-0.40 m in depth were collected and analyzed in the second year of an experiment installed in 2006 in a Rhodic Hapludox under no-till farming, located in the Agronomic Experimental Station of UNIOESTE, in the city of Marechal Candido Rondon, Parana, Brazil. The experiment consisted of two crop systems (with and without rotation of cover crops) and three fertilization sources (mineral, organic and mineral+organic). The organic and mineral+organic fertilizations consisted of the application of animal manure alone and animal manure mixed with mineral fertilizer, respectively. The values of pH, exchangeable potassium (K + ) and cation exchange capacity (CEC) were not affected by the different crop systems, related to the application of different fertilization sources. However, they did influence the organic matter contents (OM), potential acidity (H + + Al 3+ ), exchangeable aluminum (Al 3+ ), phosphorus (P), calcium (Ca 2+ ), magnesium (Mg 2+ ), and the bases sum and saturation (V%). The organic and mineral+organic fertilizations, with animal manure promoted the highest increase in soil Ca and Mg.
