“…The focus of data extraction was the psychometric instrument of eating self-efficacy used in each reviewed study. An instrument was adapted (10) containing 12 items to enable data extraction: authors; year of publication; the country where the study was conducted; the purpose of the study; nutritional status of study participants; age range of the investigated public; the language of the instrument; psychometric characteristics of the instrument; the form of application (self-reported or interview); the number of items; the dimensions of the instrument; and sample items. It is noteworthy that, to obtain all this information, it was sometimes also necessary to consult the article to develop the instrument, which was easily located through the references of the reviewed studies.…”

“…The Expectations Survey was developed based on the perspectives of patients with diverse diagnoses including LDS and, therefore, can potentially address various consequences of LDS on physical and mental well-being [27]. The Expectations Survey has been translated into other languages and used by other researchers [2,10,15,25,29,35]. It addresses anticipated outcomes, and although not a gold standard for current conditions, it is an example of a single survey that can simultaneously address multiple issues that are important to patients and that impact their overall health.…”
