Abstract

The participation of a faculty member on the board of the International Council of Nursing (ICN) characterizes the importance of the recognition of Taka Oguisso and the University of São Paulo School of Nursing in the international scene. The characterization of specific nursing knowledge, particularly regarding care processes, their meanings and ways of manifestation in the everyday lives of people, families and communities, was researched and documented in 987 master dissertations and 661 doctoral theses between 1975 and 2012 (a) . Furthermore, the EEUSP faculty has generated an impressive number of publications through renowned publishers
