Objective: To evaluate the Work ability index for nurses in primary health care considering the sociodemographic factors and health conditions of workers. Methods:A Cross-sectional study, of a quantitative approach involving 70 nurses of the Family Health Strategies of a municipality in northeastern Brazil. Data collection occurred during the months of May and June 2015 and used the Brazilian version of a standardized questionnaire to calculate Work Ability Index. For data analysis, the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used for descriptive analysis, from the distribution of absolute and relative frequencies of the sociodemographic and labor variables.Results: As a result, it is highlighted that 51.5% of nurses reported "good" current work ability. However, the disease diagnosed more frequently in the last 12 months were musculoskeletal diseases, remaining the endocrine, gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases at the same level. Conclusion:It is concluded that the high percentage of workers with a good ability to work. However, there is a need to restore the physical and physiological state of nurses working in primary health care. The mentioned strategies aim to maintain a safe and adequate working environment and encourage healthy lifestyle habits and provide permanent training.

This is a clinical trial which aims to evaluate the efficiency of massage in the reduction of occupational low back pain, and its influence on the performance of work and life activities for the nursing team. The sample consisted of 18 employees who received seven to eight sessions after their work period. From the Numerical Pain Rating Scale, significant improvements were found between the 3rd and 1st evaluations (p=0.000) and between the 3rd and 2nd (p=0.004), using the Wilcoxon test. Regarding the Oswestry Disability Index, the paired t test showed a statistical difference (p=0.02) between the baseline, with a mean of 21.33% and the second evaluation (18.78%), which was also seen between the second and third evaluation (16.67% Aplicación del masaje para lumbalgia ocupacional en empleados de EnfermeríaSe trata de ensayo clínico con el objetivo de verificar la eficiencia del masaje para apocar la lumbalgia ocupacional y su influencia en el desempeño de las actividades laborales y de vida, en el equipo de Enfermería. La muestra fue compuesta por 18 empleados, que recibieron de 7 a 8 sesiones después del plantón. Por la escala numérica de dolor, hubo mejora significante estadísticamente entre la 3ª y 1ª evaluación (p=0,000) y entre la 3ª y 2ª (p=0,004), por la prueba de Wilcoxon. Sobre la evaluación funcional de Owestry, en la prueba T pareado, se observó diferencia estadística (p=0,02) entre el primer momento, con media del 21,33% y el según (18,78%), y se mantuvo entre la segunda y tercera evaluación (16,67%). Fueron encontrados 18 puntos (medio riesgo) para escala de evaluación del riesgo en el movimiento y transferencia. Se concluye que el masaje fue eficiente en la disminución de la lumbalgia ocupacional, así como trajo mejoría en las actividades de trabajo y vida. Clinical Trials Identifier: NCT01315197. Absentismo en el equipo de enfermería en el ambiente hospitalario RESUMENEl estudio examinó las causas de absentismo entre el personal de enfermería de un hospital público. Se trata de un estudio descriptivo cuantitativo, realizado en el banco de registros de la institución investigada, analizados utilizando el software SPSS. El periodo nocturno se impuso en los registros. Se identificaron 405 enfermedades asociadas con los alejamientos, con mayor incidencia las enfermedades del tracto digestivo, locomotor, oftalmológico y mental. Se observó una asociación entre la función y el tiempo de alejamiento, con mayor propensión de los técnicos de enfermería. Se identificó la relación entre absentismo, perfil de e los trabajadores, condiciones y objeto de trabajo. RESUMOO estudo analisou as causas de absenteísmo entre a equipe de enfermagem de um hospital público. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo quantitativo, realizado junto ao banco de registros de absenteísmo da instituição investigada, analisados com auxílio do Software SPSS. O período noturno prevaleceu nos registros. Identificaram-se 405 doenças associadas aos afastamentos, com maior incidência as doenças do trato digestório, osteomuscular, oftamológico e psíquico. Houve associação entre função e tempo de afastamento, com maior propensão dos técnicos de enfermagem. Identificou-se a relação entre absenteísmo, perfil dos trabalhadores, condições e o objeto de trabalho.
