Abstract

In 2002, Memórias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz published in its volume 97 a total of 237 papers: 219 in eight regular issues and 18 in the 8th International Symposium on Schistosomiasis.Among the published papers in that year, 54 were on epidemiology of parasites and infectious diseases; 49 on general biology; 31 on systematics; 16 on diagnosis; 12 on clinical and therapeutic studies; 11 on control; 11 on immunology and immunogenetic; 9 on experimental therapy; 7 on molecular characterization; 5 on experimental pathology; 5 reviews; 3 editorials; 2 technical reports; and 1 book review.In
