Prosorhynchus maternus sp. n. (Digenea: Bucephalidae) from the Malabar grouper Epinephelus malabaricus (Perciformes: Serranidae) off New Caledonia

P. promicropsi, an Atlantic species, differs in the much more posteriorly situated vitellarium, with the caecum reaching distinctly anterior to it, and the more posteriorly situated mouth and gonads (Manter 1940b).…”

Most of these species have been reported from individual host species or a few closely related hosts.…”
