Análise cladística e biogeografia de Ochlerini (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae, Discocephalinae)

Abstract: ABSTRACT. Cladistic analysis and biogeography of Ochlerini (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae, Discocephalinae). A cladistic analysis using 63 characters and 30 genera of the Neotropical tribe Ochlerini Rolston was performed to test their monophyletic condition and to establish a relationship hypothesis. Janeirona Distant, 1911 (Pentatomini) and the tribes Discocephalini and Halyini were included in the ingroup to test their relationship with Ochlerini; Marghita Ruckes, 1964 and Stictochilus Bergroth, 1918 (Pentatomi… Show more

“…Other genera having these characters are found within the Discocephalinae (Campos and Grazia 2006;Rolston 1981Rolston , 1990), the Pentatominae: Sciocorini, Myrocheini, Caystrini, and Triplatygini (Kment and Garbelotto 2016) and the Phyllocephalinae (Kamaluddin and Ahmad 1988). The genera of Sciocorini, Myrocheini, and Castrini having broad heads possess the margins of head, pronotum and corium sharp, without lobes and the humeri of pronotum rounded (Kment and Garbelotto 2016), unlike the specimen studied here.…”

“…Measurements are in millimeters (mm) and follow mainly GARBELOTTO et al (2013) and ROLSTON (1983) for: length and width of eye and pronotal lobe, and interocellar distance. The terminology of BAKER (1931), DUPUIS (1970), CAMPOS & GRAZIA (2006) and GARBELOTTO et al (2013) were adopted for genitalic structures. Photographs were taken using a Nikon AZ100M stereomicroscope and NIS-Elements Advanced Research software.…”
