New species of Thaumastus from Lagoa Santa region, Minas Gerais State, Brazil (Mollusca, Gastropoda, Pulmonata, Bulimuloidea)

Abstract: ABSTRACT.A new species of Thaumastus (Thaumastus) Martens, 1860, from Minas Gerais State, Brazil, is described and illustrated, based on the morphology of the shell, jaw, radula and soft parts.

“…In this subfamily, Thaumastus Albers, 1860 is a South American genus of land snails represented by six subgenera: Thaumastus s.s., T. (Scholvienia), T. (Kara), T. (Quechua) and T. (Atahualpa) described by Strebel (1910), and T. (Thaumastiella) described by Weyrauch (1956).
