Monitorização ambulatorial da pressão arterial em indivíduos com resposta exagerada dos níveis pressóricos em esforço. Influência do condicionamento físico

Abstract: Normotensive individuals with exaggerated blood pressure response to dynamical exercise submitted to physical training presented a reduction in their systolic blood pressure and heart rate response during the submaximal loads of the cycloergometric test. The ABPM blood pressure values, however, did not change in both groups. These results suggest the involvement of the sympathetic nervous system in the exaggerated blood pressure response observed in these individuals during dynamic exercise and a corresponding… Show more

“…Recent studies 7,9,48,50 have focused on ABPM because it allows blood pressure measurements at predetermined intervals, during routine activities and sleep, providing a curve representing an individual's blood pressure behavior during 24 hours. Therefore, an important distinction exists between the present study and most studies in the litera ture 22,25,28,30,[37][38][39] : while other studies have dealt with aerobic and resistive exercises individually through conventional blood pressure measurement or ABPM, in our study, the individuals underwent both exercises, which were compared during 24 hours and assessed through ABPM with blood pressure recordings during usual activities, in wakefulness and sleep.…”

“…The BMI of both groups fell within in the overweight classification range (25-30 kg/m 2 ), and in both groups, the abdominal circumference was larger than 94 cm, reaching values that were, on average, close to the highest risk of coronary disease, since the isolated measurement of AC has proved to be sufficient to establish cardiovascular risk 22 . As noted, after the AEP, there were no significant changes in the anthropometric variables of this study, despite a significant reduction in the EG's blood pressure levels.…”

“…With respect to the hemodynamic variables, Lima et al 22 conducted a study with subjects with blood pressure hyperreactivity, evaluated by ABPM before and after a four-monthlong AEP. They demonstrated that there were no significant reductions in blood pressure levels and there were significant reductions in HR.…”

“…A prática regular de exercícios físicos resulta em importantes adaptações hemodinâmicas e autonômicas que influenciam o aparelho cardiovascular, atuando diretamente no controle e tratamento da HAS (Laterza et al, 2007). Estudos longitudinais demonstraram que a prevalência de hipertensão arterial é inversamente relacionada ao nível da capacidade física (Lima et al, 1998;Hamer, 2006).…”
