ABSTRACT Introduction:The Amblyomma genus is widely distribution in Brazil and is important regarding the public health risk represented by the transmission of pathogens. Methods: This paper reports a case of parasitism in humans by Amblyomma sp that occurred in the City of Recife, State of Pernambuco.
