Óbito em caso de leishmaniose cutâneomucosa após o uso de antimonial pentavalente

Abstract: RESUMO. Quando a leishmaniose é ocasionada pela Leishmania (Viannia) braziliensis pode ocorrer acometimento de mucosas. Boca, nariz, laringe e faringe são as áreas mais comumente afetadas 1 2 11 14 . Na cavidade oral, as lesões exibem aspecto úlcero-vegetante, com granulações grosseiras na superfície. A localização mais comum é o palato, quando a lesão pode apresentar sulcos intercruzados, dividindo-o em quadrantes.
