Opresión internalizada y prácticas sexuales de riesgo en varones homo-y bi-sexuales de México

Abstract

Engaging in high-risk sexual practices is still frequent among homo and bisexual males. Of the three forms of internalized oppression studied, homophobia was associated with higher high-risk sexual practices. This information may be incorporated into the design of programs for promoting condom use among homo and bisexual males.

Prevalence and risk factors associated with female anal sex in the context of HIV/AIDS in the selected districts of Tanzania

“…Despite the widespread availability and use of lubricants, some studies have revealed that women and their partners question the safety of different types or brands of lubricants, the extent to which they may make sex feel more comfortable or pleasurable or whether certain lubricants may pose an increased risk of yeast or bacterial infections [30, 31]. Other studies have reported that the use of chemicals for lubricating the anus has been found to damage the cells and make them more susceptible to infection since rigorous laboratory tests have established that many of the lubricant products were toxic to cells and rectal tissues [16]. “…Se observa que en la mayor parte de los estudios existentes sobre homo y lesbofobia son de tipo cuantitativo y están contextualizados principalmente en Estados Unidos (Katz-Wise y Hyde, 2012). Aún así se observa que, a pesar de que la Federación Internacional del Trabajo Social (FITS) tal y como señala el Consejo General del Trabajo Social (CGTS, 2014), aprobó la creación de un banco internacional de buenas prácticas en materia de identidad sexual y Trabajo Social, los estudios sobre diversidad desde esta perspectiva son escasos (Otero, 2016b).…”

Identidad sexual en jóvenes gay del norte de Chile

“…Pero pese a esta situación esperanzadora, aún la homofobia persiste., Subsiste también la homofobia internalizada, que alude al aprendizaje e internalización de los significados negativos asociados a la homosexualidad y a la transgresión de los roles de género, lo que podría llegar a producir un rechazo hacia su propia orientación sexual . De esta forma, muchos gays o lesbianas incorporan en su autoimagen los significados negativos asociados a la homosexualidad y a los homosexuales, lo que provoca en ellos actitudes y reacciones negativas hacia sí mismos (Ortiz & García, 2005).
